Q.

Why is wagyu oil called “oil” and not “fat”?

Trackback |
A.

Our theory is that it was probably purely a marketing decision – “oil” sounds better than “fat” on labels.  Wagyu oil is expertly rendered, delicious cooking fat derived from Australian wagyu beef.  You can use it similarly to duck fat as a cooking oil to add rich flavor to sautes, sous vide recipes, baste meats, etc.

Currently we only offer wagyu oil in our Seattle retail storeContact us if you live elsewhere and would like to special order some to be sent to you.
