Q.

Are your sea vegetables tested for radiation?

Trackback |
A.

Our dried sea vegetables are tested for radioactive Isotopes by U.C. Berkeley’s Department of Nuclear Engineering. Most of the sea vegetables currently being sold from this supply are from the 2012 harvest, which has been tested. For the last two years “no radioactive isotopes were detected from the rectors at Fukushima” (in depth results log).

As of 10/16/13, samples of the 2013 harvest have been submitted for testing, but results aren’t back yet.
