How safe is wild boar meat for consumption? Is it inspected?

Trackback |      [pinit]

Just like the pork you buy in the grocery store, all of our wild boar meat is inspected by the USDA in approved USDA facilities.  For more information about the process, please see How Wild Boar is Harvested.

I sorry, but I remember the “old” days when people would get sick from pork because of the unsafe conditions and parasites. A wild bore has by it nature a propensity to have parasites and I just can’t see it being safe for human/animal consumption. A dear friend of mine died in
1950 from worms she ingested from unsafe pork. I like pork but I want it to be safe to consume. Wild bore does not qualify…..for me!
